Dec 2021: BUAL Season 4 Grand Finals LAN at Roehampton Esports
Role: Event & Social Lead at Roehampton Esports
- Created a content plan for the media day of LAN
- Worked alongside videographer, Fergus Brewis, in content creation with students
- Utilised the Twitter and Instagram, ensuring regular updates of the LAN behind the scenes and video content
- Ensured the Watch Party for the grand finals was welcoming and engaging for students and LAN attendants
Nov 2021: Women in Esports Conference – Roehampton Esports
Role: Event & Social Lead at Roehampton Esports
I was event organiser and lead for the Women in Esports Conference. A few key things I did:
- Formulated the event proposal, guest list, finance logistics,
- Worked with brands to secure sponsorships for the event
- Devised an itinerary scheduling each discussion panel and speaker
- Scheduled social media posts to promote the event and encourage more sign-ups
- Conducted a Q&A with Emily Perkins prior to the conference to discuss the growth of women in esports
- Worked with Sweet Cabin UK, Zowie, Hyper X, London Esports and Women in Games (WIGJ) for this event
Roehampton Esports’ FIRST Women in Esports Conference 2021
On Wednesday 17th November, Roehampton Esports held their first Women in Esports Conference in sponsorship with Zowie, Women in Games, HyperX, Sweet Cabin & London Esports. This event was an important step towards highlighting the importance of Women in the Esports industry and tackling the hostile imbalance.
